Judd Matheny’s campaign for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District continues to build strong momentum as he announced the hiring of top conservative political strategist John Drogin, founder of Drogin Group, a political and digital media firm. The move comes following Judd’s announcement that he traveled more than 8,000 miles in the first 40 days of the campaign, visiting with hundreds of voters. Drogin has more than 15 years of experience working for successful, conservative campaigns. He served as campaign manager for Ted Cruz’s first Senate Campaign in 2011-2012, which was called the “biggest upset of 2012.” He then served as State Director for Cruz’s Senate office, and as a senior advisor to the main Super PACs supporting Cruz for President.

“John Drogin is a great American. He has the same energy and principled conservative DNA that is part of the political souls of Tennesseans in the 6th District. He will be a great asset to a successful campaign for us,” stated Judd Matheny.

Drogin has deep ties to the district as his wife, Mandy (Slough) Drogin, was born and raised in Hendersonville, where her parents still reside.

About joining Judd’s team, Drogin said: “Judd gets it. He is the true, principled conservative in this race. Voters are hungry for someone who will change the status quo in Washington. Judd has proven through his actions that he is the conservative leader we need working for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District. That’s why I’m eager to work with Judd and know he will win.”
