A quake that registered 4.3 on the Richter with an epicenter eight miles west of Whitesburg, Kentucky was reported on Saturday, as well as tremors from the quake.Several DeKalb countians reported feeling the effects of the quake.“I was siiting at home watching television when the walls began to shake,” Holmes Creek Road resident Cindy Flarity told the Review. “It nearly scared me to death.”The quake reportedly began near the Kentucky-Virginia border, a little less than a mile beneath the town of Blackey.There have been no reports of major damage from the event.The tremor was reportedly felt from Cincinnati, Ohio, to Atlanta, Ga.
