Ricardo Duenas, 19, of McMinnville drowned after apparently attempting to swim across Center Hill Lake near Sligo Bridge just after 5:30 p.m. last Wednesday. Duenas had reportedly made it about halfway across the lake when he went down and did not resurface. Other swimmers told authorities they tried to save Duenas to no avail.
