Brandon Bohannon is accused of ripping off the county landfill before getting caught on camera.

Smile. You’re on candid camera. A Sparta man has been hit with theft charges after he was captured on camera, repeatedly burglarizing the county landfill.
The suspect, Brandon C. Bohannon, 39, is charged with theft for incidents that took place between Feb. 15 and May 9 of this year.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, employees at the county landfill noticed things like gas, batteries and even hydraulic fluid were mysteriously disappearing from the site. Suspecting someone may be spiriting the items away, a detective with the sheriff’s department installed trap cameras around the landfill in hopes of catching a glimpse of the nocturnal thief. His efforts were met with success as photos of the thief were captured, allowing lawmen to make an arrest.
A final tally of the loss suffered by the county landfill included six vehicle batteries, numerous gallons of gas and 45 containers of hydraulic fluid. Altogether, the loss is estimated at $3,705.
