The charter of local VFW post 7623, established in 1961, has been revoked by the state commander because of inactivity, pending final approval by the national office of the veteran’s organization. State VFW Commander William G. Crawford told the Review after a meeting, held Saturday to allow local members input on whether the post could be saved, that only one member of the local post attended. "We revoked the charter of VFW post 7623 as of today," he said Saturday.
