The sheriff's department has arrested a 51-year-old local man who allegedly stole fitness equipment from an Adamson Branch Road home. Edward Lee Judkins, Sr., 51 was arrested on Dec. 30 and faces charges of burglary and theft of property over $500.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Judkins broke into a shed on Nov. 20 by forcing open the door. He allegedly took various weight-lifting equipment from the building.
Ray said the stolen items were later located behind the camper trailer Judkins occupies on Pea Ridge Road. The case was investigated by a criminal detective of the sheriff's department.
Judkins’ bond was set at $10,000, and he will appear in court on Jan. 9.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Michael Anthony Leichtfuss was charged with vandalism under $500 on Dec. 8.
Ray said Leichtfuss is accused of vandalized property on Johnson's Ridge Road, causing over $300 in damage to a door and door frame.
The case was investigated by a criminal detective of the Sheriff's Department.
His bond was set at $1,000, and he will appear in court on Jan. 30.
Chrissy Michelle Evans, 40, was charged with domestic assault on Jan. 5.
The sheriff said a deputy responding to Evans' residence on a domestic violence call at Evans’ home spoke with Evans' husband. He allegedly had a cut on his left ear and scratches on his hand and back. He reportedly said that his wife attacked him, causing the injuries.
Evans allegedly admitted to attacking the man. Her bond was set at $5,000, and she will appear in court on Jan. 16.
