The Sheriff’s department has arrested a 46-year-old Manchester man in connection with the alleged assault of three people in August.
Napoleon Wainwright has been charged with the aggravated assault of his wife, step daughter and another man in an altercation in August. He was arrested on Oct. 8.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Wainwright assaulted his wife by grabbing her and shoving her into a wall, causing her to fall to the floor. While on the floor, Wainwright allegedly grabbed the woman and beat her head against the floor.
Authorities also allege that he attempted to hit the woman with a hammer. The victim reportedly had marks on her face and arms, and her face was bleeding after the incident.
Wainwright is also accused of striking his step-daughter and another man with a vehicle during the same altercation, leaving marks on the female’s leg, and on the man’s legs and arms. The man was reportedly treated at DeKalb Community Hospital for his injuries.
Wainwright’s bond was set at $30,000, and he will appear in court on Jan. 29.
Meanwhile, Christine Nicole Moore, 29, of Asheville N.C. was arrested on Oct. 9 for sale and delivery of a Schedule III drug. Moore was charged in a sealed indictment returned by the Grand Jury on September 16, 2013 as the result of a sheriff’s department investigation.
Her bond was set at $20,000 and she will appear in court on Nov. 12.
