Nicholas Hale, 24, of Smithville escaped with cuts and bruises after this crash last week. According to Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Hale was traveling south on Highway 56 North when he failed to negotiate a curve and his 1995 Ford Explorer left the roadway on the left side, struck a ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its top in Puckett’s Cemetery. Hale escaped without serious injury, but was cited for failure to exercise due care.
