Smithville police have charged a local man with four counts of theft after he  allegedly used special tools and access codes to break into several vending machines and steal money.
Authorities said William Corey Dickens, 28, took money from machines at Federal Mogul, NHC Health Care Center, and DeKalb EMS.
According to the arrest warrants, police allege that Dickens broke into vending machines belonging to Five Star Food Services at Federal Mogul on Grizzly Lane on Feb. 1 and then again on Feb. 8, taking over $500 in cash.
Dickens was reportedly escorted off the property by Federal Mogul’s security team twice on Feb. 1.
He is further accused of taking more than $500 in cash from more Five Star Food Services machines at NHC Healthcare on Fisher Avenue on Saturday, March 18.
It is alleged that Dickens then went to the DeKalb EMS building in Smithville on April 17 and took less than $500 from vending machines belonging to the Dr. Pepper Company.
Dickens has recently been charged and incarcerated in Putnam and Warren counties for the same type of offenses.
Dickens was reportedly found to have coins, access codes, and special tools for entering the vending machines while in custody.
 More charges are pending against him locally as well.
Dickens bond was set at $17,500, and he will appear in court In DeKalb County on May 2.
