UCHRA held a Community Champions Week as part of its March for Meals campaign March 17-21 . Many local officials participated in the event to show support for our community’s homebound and hungry seniors.UCHRA’s Community Champions Week – celebrated during the third week of March included T-shirt sales, donation jars, volunteers and the involvement of Community Champions delivering home delivered meals. “We are excited about having DeKalb County officials participate in our March for Meals Community Champions week,” said Kelly Dishman, Director of Field Operations and Nutrition.”Our Mayor has been involved with our program in the past and the national Mayors for Meals Day is an excellent way to continue our relationship, and gain new relationships with our Community Champions.”
