Caleb Lee McGhee, 20, was arrested by the sheriff’s department and charged with theft of property under $500 on July 27.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, said that on Monday, July 25 McGhee took a set of cornhole boards, valued at $200, from the rightful owner with the intent to deprive the owner of their property.
His bond was set at $2,500, and he will appear in court on Aug. 11.
Meanwhile, Kathy Irene Miller, 53, of Liberty was charged with driving under the influence on July 26. The sheriff said a deputy responded to a reckless driver on Highway 70 in the Dowelltown area and spotted a vehicle that crossed into the oncoming lane several times.
The officer reportedly stopped the car and spoke with the driver, who was found to be Miller. Her speech was allegedly slurred, and she was very unsteady on her feet. Miller was asked to but perform field sobriety tasks, which she did poorly. She agreed to a blood test.
Her bond was set at $1,500, and she will appear in court on Aug. 11.
