Larry Jones, 45, of McMinnville lost his life in a one-vehicle crash on Sparta Highway Saturday. Jones passenger, 33-year-old Brandon Temple of Hendersonville was airlifted by Life Flight to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville with serious injuries.. According to Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Jones was driving east on Highway 70 in a 2001 Chevy Blazer when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side of the road near the old VFW building.
