Vandalism charges have been leveled against a Wisconsin man who smashed a television at Walmart because he thought it was too loud.

The suspect, Anthony Charles Miller, 29, of Green Bay, Wis., has been cited for vandalism and is to be in court on Aug. 23 to answer to the charge.

According to Smithville Police reports, the crime was discovered when employees found the television lying on the floor. The video surveillance file was pulled for the electronics area, revealing what happened.

“Miller can be seen on Walmart surveillance video, pulling at 49-inch television off a shelf, onto the floor,” the police report reads, noting the suspect can then be seen kicking the television as it lay on the floor.

When Miller was brought in for questioning, it was learned he thought he had a good reason to destroy the television.

“It was discovered that he thought the television was too loud,” the report revealed regarding the reason he ripped down the set.
