Sarah Murphy, 44, of McMinnville was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment Monday morning after her vehicle was struck by a Chevy Tahoe driven by Kyle Mecham, 31, on Nashville Highway near Dowelltown at the intersection of Highway 96. Investigators say Mecham ran the stop sign and slammed into the side of Murphy’s westbound Chevy Equinox. Mechum and her four juvenile passengers escaped injury after their vehicle continued over an embankment.
