The DeKalb Animal Coalition is nearing completion, and volunteers are needed.

The opening day has not yet been determined, but many hours of volunteer work will be necessary to keep the animals safe, clean, healthy, happy and loved once the facility is up and running. Many people have already given their name and phone number to be contacted for volunteer hours. You can stop by the Animal Coalition Benefit Place at 110 W. Walnut St. Smithville on Fri. from 10 - 4 or Sat. from 10 -2 and leave your contact information, or, on non-business days, please leave your information in the black mail box outside the door.
