No one was seriously injured in this Thursday accident in which in which a 2006 Pontiac van driven Royce Ashford, Jr., 45, overturned after a collision with the 2001 Buick of Janie Bain, 67, of McMinnville. According to Sergeant Eric McCormick of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Ashford was traveling east on Vaughn Lane and passed through the intersection with Highway 70 into the path of Bain, who was traveling north. The Pontiac was struck in the right side and overturned. Both parties, as well as Ashford’s passengers, Lora Ashford and Tracy Beach escaped without serious injury. The male Ashford was charged with failure to yield and failure to produce proof of insurance.
