One airlifted following Monday wreck

The driver was airlifted following a crash on Nashville Highway Monday morning.

One person was airlifted while a mother and several children escaped injury in a collision on Nashville Highway Monday morning that say one of the vehicles crash down a steep embankment.

 The wreck remains under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 70 near Dowelltown and involved two vehicles, one of which suffered heavy rear-ended damage, the other rolling over a 100 yards down a steep embankment. A mother and three children who were in the car that went down the embankmet were treated but not transported to the hospital. Meanwhile the driver of the other vehicle was rushed from the scene for airlift.
