A Sparta man was injured Thursday when the 1998 Harley Davidson he was riding struck the back of a pickup truck at just before 8:30 a.m. Trooper Jimmy Tisdale of the Tennessee Highway Patrol told the Review that 28-year-old John Bumbalough was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after colliding with a 1995 GMC Sonoma driven by Linda Gail Oliver, 40. The truck had reportedly stopped at a construction zone where a TDOT road crew was working. Bumbalough, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, may have suffered broken bones but was in stable condition at last report. Oliver was not injured in the accident.
