Lyndsey Moyers, 29, was transported by EMS to DeKalb Community Hospital after colliding with a utility pole on West Broad in Smithville Monday night. According to city police, Moyers was traveling west just past Short Street when she left the roadway on the right side and struck the pole just after 10 p.m. Authorities said a slippery road surface caused by rainy conditions may have contributed to the mishap. Moyers was cited for not having a driver’s license.
