Parade highlights
Taking first place in the Smithville Christmas Parade was Smithville First Free Will Baptist Churchs float themed Gods Greatest Gift His Son. The parade is sponsored by the Smithville Volunteer Fire Department. Second place went to Oakleys Thrift Store with third place going to the Lions Club. Taking home the trophy for Most Spirited was the DeKalb County Junior Pro football players and cheerleaders. The Most Spirited award is sponsored by the Business & Professional Womens Club.
