Named Grand Champion Fiddler for second consecutive year

Jamboree Coordinator Sam Stout presented Ivy Phillips with her second consecutive Berry C. Williams Award.

 

Ivy Phillips of Chapmansboro, Tennessee has taken the Grand Champion Fiddler title at the Smithville Fiddler’s Jamboree and Crafts Festival for the second consecutive year.

 

After taking first place in the Junior Fiddle competition and the coveted Neal Dudney Award again this year, Phillips won the Berry C. Williams Memorial Award after a Fiddle-Off with Senior Fiddle winner Tony Haley of Mount Juliet. The final fiddle showdown took place at the close of the event, just before midnight on Saturday.
