Once again officers of the Smithville police department will be participating in a nationwide campaign of “No shave November” in an effort to raise money for cancer awareness. All officers who choose to participate will make a cash donation. All proceeds raised will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.   

Chief Mark Collins states, “At one point in time almost everyone will personally know someone affected with cancer. It is a privilege to work along side fellow officers who care enough to try to make a difference.”
