Several people were arrested recently by Smithville Police for offenses within the city limits. Included in city arrests and citations:

Lisa Michelle Roller, 45, of McMinnville has been charged with DUI 2nd and cited for implied consent and open container. Roller was involved in a two vehicle crash and upon making contact with her, police found she had slurred speech and a smell of an alcoholic beverage about her breath and person. She was unsteady on her feet and wouldn’t answer simple questions. In plain view inside her vehicle was an opened Bud Light beer and four unopened beers in the passenger floor board. She told officers she had consumed two beers. Roller was asked to perform several field sobriety task to which she consented but would not follow instructions on the first task then refused to perform any other task requested. 
Brandi Leigh Whittaker, 29, was cited for theft of property. Whittaker had taken some items from the packages at the Dollar General Store and placed them in her pockets with the intent to deprive the establishment of their merchandise. 

Mackie Dawn Chandler, 39, was cited for simple possession of drugs. She was cited after police responded to Wilson Bank to speak with her about being followed. The officer offered to give her a ride to East Side Inn so she could get a room for the night. Chandler informed the officer that she had a small amount of Ice (methamphetamine) on her person at which time she handed him a container containing approx .5 grams of  a crystal like substance that did test positive for methamphetamine. 

Matias Perez Maclovio, 50, was arrested for public intoxication. Police were approached by an individual at Mapco and advised that a male subject appeared to be under the influence while in the store. They stated that he was unsteady on his feet and could barely stand up. The officer approached the individual outside and could smell an alcoholic beverage coming from his person.  He had trouble standing and was having to lean on a nearby vehicle. He was taken into custody for his and the public’s safety. 

Marcus John Peregoy, 46, was arrested for public intoxication and indecent exposure. Police responded to West Broad Street in reference to a possible intoxicated male subject.  Upon arrival police made contact with Marcus Peregoy who appeared unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and was acting in a manner consistent with suspected drug use. He was taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation it was found that he did intentionally expose his genitals and buttocks to several people in the laundry mat including a child less than 13 years of age. 
Isabelle Maria Vazquez Morales, 40, was arrested for domestic assault. According to the warrant Morales did physically assault the victim, leaving marks on his chest, back, and face. 

Robert Lee Damron, 31, was arrested for domestic assault. According to the warrant, Damron had been physically assaulting the victim for the past couple of days by punching her multiple times in the back and throwing her into walls of the home. The victim had multiple bruises on her back consistent to someone punching her. 

Tommy Jerome Bates, 36, was arrested for public intoxication. Police responded to Evans Manor Apartment for a male disturbing the other residences there.
