Released inmate harasses sheriff

Michael Brandon Redmon allegedly went to Sheriff Rays home in DeKalb County Monday night on two separate occasions.
After first leaving a note on which he signed his name, a Smithville man recently released from jail on bond visited the home of DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray to further express his aggravation with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.Michael Brandon Redmon, 33, of Smithville allegedly went to Sheriff Ray’s home in DeKalb County Monday night on two separate occasions, watching the house, beating on the front door and defacing the driveway, sidewalk and porch with white paint. Ray was not at home when the incident occurred but his wife was there and called him.“During the morning hours of Monday, Oct. 16, my wife was walking out to her vehicle to go to work when she noticed a note stuck on my county vehicle with a big sticker. It was from Michael Redmon, and it had his name on there a couple of times,” said Sheriff Ray.According to the sheriff, Redmon had been arrested on Thursday, Oct. 12, by the Smithville Police Department for theft of property and was released on Saturday, Oct. 14, after posting bond.
