Saints cast out Devils
MS Josh May runs
Josh May takes it to the house, scoring one of his touchdowns during the DMS win over Jackson County Thursday night.
DeKalb Middle School Saints running back Colby Barnes had over a 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter alone, the only thing stopping him from having 200 yards being his teammate Josh May who also racked up the yards and touchdowns as their squad cast out the Jackson County Blue Devils, 42-0.The rout was on from the third play from scrimmage as Barnes dashed 50 yards to daylight giving his squad an early 8-0 lead. His feat was followed by May going 45 yards for another TD just two minutes later.Meanwhile, Jackson County, who beat the Saints last year, was unable to even manage a first down, not just in the first quarter, but the entire game. The domination of May and Barnes along with a long pass from quarterback Briz Trapp to Gabe Hollingsworth, who was stopped just short of the goal-line allowing May the honors two plays later, gave the Saints a 36-0 half-time lead.
