If some board members have their way, retiring Director of Schools Mark Willoughby may be asked to step down sooner than the June 30 date he had anticipated. The Board of Education held a special-called meeting Monday night to discuss provisions in the director’s contract concerning separation notice. Some board members have expressed the desire to send the director home before the June 30 date that he announced last week would be his retirement day.
