Iris Shepherd of Henry, Tennessee took the James G. "Bobo" Driver Memorial Award at the Jamboree Saturday.
Shepherd was named the best Beginner Fiddler in the National Championship for Country Musician Beginners, receiving the award named for the man who started the competition for young people.
Brayden Chunn of Greenbriar received Entertainer of the Year honors. The Entertainer of the Year is chosen as the best overall entertainer among the winners of the dobro, mandolin, five string banjo, and flat top guitar competitions.
Chunn took first place in the mandolin and clogging categories, second in dobro and buck dancing, and third in fiddle and flat top guitar.
