Sheriff Patrick Ray reports that deputies arrested three different people in connection with two separate thefts at the same Shelby Drive property last week.
In the first case, Ray says that 39-year-old Gary Edward Matthews and David Eugene Driver, 40, went to a property on Shady Drive on Sept. 7 and allegedly took an antenna valued at less than $500.
The two were charged with theft under $500, and both are under a $2500 bond with a court date of Sept. 22.
As authorities were in the process of arresting Matthews and Driver, they were reportedly called back to the same address on another report of attempted theft.
Deputies report that they discovered 37-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Sanders with a vehicle that did not belong to him. The vehicle was jacked up when they reached the scene, and it is alleged that he was attempting to take a part from the vehicle without permission of owner.
He was charged with theft under  $500.
Sanders was also charged with theft on Sept. 3, this time over $500.
According to the sheriff, Sanders allegedly took a catalytic converter from a vehicle on Potts Camp Road without the owner’s consent and took it to a scrapyard, where it was sold.
Sanders is under a $10,000 bond and his  court date is Sept. 22.
William Corey Dickens, 27, was arrested on Aug. 21 and charged withtwo counts of theft of property over $1000. His bond is set at $15,000 and his court date will be Oct. 13.
The warrant alleges that on Aug 21, Dickens took a van from a New Home Road in Dowelltown without the owner’s consent.
He then reportedly carried it to a local scrapyard and exchanged it for cash.
The van was valued at $3,000.
Then, on Aug. 24, Dickens allegedly took a tractor engine, a tractor radiator, clothing racks,  a washer, a stove, a double bottom plow and a 1500 piece craftsman tool set from a property on Bluhmtown Road, all valued at $4,650.
The sheriff says that the metal items were again sold to a local scrapyard.
Meanwhile, Micheal Ryan Sullivan of Dowelltown, 28, was charged with DUI on Sept. 8.
According to Ray, Sullivan was stopped on Highway 70 for failure to maintain his lane of travel and crossing into the turn lane.
He was judged to have slurred speech, his eyes were reportedly glossy, and the deputy alleges that he had a blue powdery residue on his nose.
The sheriff says that Sullivan performed poorly on field sobriety tasks and that he refused a blood test.
He was charged with first offense DUI. His bond is $1500, and his court date will be Sept. 29.
Sullivan was also cited for an inoperable tail light, driving outside his lane of traffic and the implied consent law.
The sheriff also reports that 32-year-old Amy Ford of Watertown was issued a citation last week for simple possession.
A deputy conducting a traffic stop on Smith Road discovered that Ford had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, and was allegedly in possession of four hydrocodone pills.
Her court date is set for Oct. 6.
The sheriff further reports that 42-year-old James Lee Adcock was arrested for theft under $500 on Aug. 1.
Adcock allegedly took a debit card from a residence on Jefferson Road and used it several times in DeKalb and surrounding counties.

Sladen Anthony Shagun of Murfreesboro, 29, was recently charged with public intoxication and domestic assault.
His bond totals $6,000 and he will be in court on Sept. 22.
According to Ray, a deputy was dispatched to the Floating Mill recreation area to investigate a domestic violence complaint on Sept. 3.
After speaking to everyone involved, the deputy determined that Shagun had assaulted his girlfriend, hitting her on the face with his fist.
The woman reportedly had a swollen left eye, a bleeding nose, and bruising on her right arm from an earlier assault that day.
The deputy allegedly detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Shagun’s person.

He was also issued citations for improper passing, violation of the implied consent law, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond is $1,500 and he will be in court on Sept. 22
Sheriff Ray reports that Hale was operating a vehicle on Highway 56 south near the Mystick Market on Aug. 30, when he allegedly passed a deputy on a double yellow line.
Hale's vehicle was reportedly weaving on the roadway.
After stopping the vehicle, the officer spoke with the driver, Hale, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle.
Hale was asked to step out of the vehicle and to perform field sobriety tasks.
The deputy judged Hale to have slurred speech and determined that he was unsteady on his feet.
Hale reportedly performed poorly on all sobriety tasks.
Officials say that Hale refused to submit to a blood alcohol test, saying he would only fail it.
He reportedly admitted to drinking beer.
Daniel Ray Anderson of Sparta, 51, is charged with a second offense of driving on a suspended license and failure to appear in court.
He was also issued a citation for violation of the financial responsibility law.
His bond is $6,000 and he will be in court on Sept. 22.
The sheriff reports that a deputy stopped a vehicle on South Mountain Street on Aug. 30 and informed the driver, Anderson, that he had a capias or bench warrant against him.
The bench warrant was reportedly for failure to appear in court on Feb. 3, 2010, on another charge of driving on a suspended license.
The officer asked to see his license but Anderson said he thought it was suspended.
A computer check revealed the license were indeed suspended for failure to satisfy a citation on Oct. 23, 2007, in Putnam County.
The sheriff says that he also had a prior charge of driving on a suspended license against him in Warren County.

Ray reports that a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 70 east for violation of the light law on Sept. 4.
Upon speaking with the driver, Huffman, the deputy allegedly noticed that he had red watery eyes.
The deputy also reported that he detected a strong odor consistent with the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Huffman submitted to, but performed poorly on several field sobriety tasks.
Huffman did submit to a blood alcohol drug test.
Huffman reportedly gave the deputy consent to search the vehicle, and the officer found several plastic baggies containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, and a small black digital scale in a cloth bag.
The approximate weight of the marijuana was 2.3 ounces.
