Several arrests were made this past week by sheriff’s officers. Included in county crime:
Ryan W. Martin, 18, is charged with violating an order of protection. He was charged after he allegedly sent a Facebook message to a female. She had an order of protection against him which bans all contact, personal or electronic.
Chad E. Knowles, 47, was charged with resisting stop. His arrest came after a deputy saw him walking in dark clothing on Midway Road. The officer tried to talk to him but noticed the suspect kept reaching into his back pocket. The lawmen told him to put his hand on the patrol car hood but Knowles refused and took off running.
Susan P. Green, 59, was charged with possession of a weapon after her parole officer called deputies to help him search her residence on Seven Springs Road. During the search lawmen found three guns including a Ruger, AR15 and 12 gauge shotgun. She is a convicted felon and not allowed to possession weapons.
Jon C. Smith, 37, was charged with second-offense DUI after an officer saw him driving in the wrong lane of travel. The deputy stopped him and noticed an odor of alcohol on his person and noted that he did poorly on a field sobriety test.
Gennie L. Norrod, 35, is charged with DUI. She was caught driving recklessly on Nashville Highway. The officer smelled alcohol on her when she was stopped and she did poorly on her field sobriety test.
