Several people were arrested this past week by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department. Included in county arrests:

Craig Anthony Hill, 46, was charged with theft after he was caught trying to sell a stolen leaf blower, ladder and air compressor that had been stolen earlier from a Holmes Creek residence. Investigators were able to make the case against Hill.
Anthony Charlie Miller, 29, was charged with being a fugitive from justice after it was discovered he was wanted in his hometown of Green Bay, Wis., on outstanding warrants. Wisconsin plans to extradite.

Cory Wade Foster, 32, faces double charges for disorderly conduct and assault. He was first picked up for disorderly conduct when deputies found him running into the road causing a traffic hazard on Nashville Highway near Liberty. Once he was at the jail he refused to obey officers and ended up slugging one of the jailers in the head.

Willie Ray Murphy, 36, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and Clonazepam and driving on a restricted license. A deputy fell in behind and tried to pull him over. The suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the back door of a residence, leaving behind a container in which officers found the drugs.

Mary Katherine Ross, 30, is charged with second-offense DUI. She was found slumped over her steering wheel with the engine running on Nashville Highway. She did poorly on her field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Her prior DUI came in White County in 2014.
