The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting roadside sobriety checkpoints and saturated patrols throughout the county for the holidays.According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, sobriety checkpoints will be conducted from Dec. 13-Jan. 1 across the county. The sheriff’s department will also work in cooperation with the Alexandria Police Department in some operations.Ray said the checkpoints will target drunk drivers to help insure the safety of all DeKalb countians during the holiday season.
