Several arrests were made by sheriff’s officers this past week in DeKalb County. Included in county crime action:
Noe Francisco Ambrocio, 29, was charged with second-offense DUI. He was pulled over after a deputy noticed he was not properly maintaining his lane of travel. The officer suspected he was under the influence and gave him a field sobriety test which he did poorly on. He will be arraigned June 14.
Timothy W. Patrick, 29, of McMinnville was charged with public intoxication and will appear for arraignment on June 14. According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, a deputy was dispatched to a location on Old Bildad Road where there was an unwanted guest at a residence. When the officer arrived he found Patrick on the back porch of the residence. The lawman said Patrick appeared to be under the influence and admitted to using meth.
Sammy Gene Taylor, 57, of Dowelltown was charged with domestic assault and will appear in court on June 14.
According to Sheriff Ray, a deputy was sent to a residence on King Ridge Road to answer a domestic.
When he arrived, Taylor’s girlfriend said he had assaulted her after busting out a window of their home.
He then grabbed the arm which she had recently had surgery on, placing her in fear for her safety.
Eddie Lee Carter, 48, of Walling was charged with public intoxication and will be arraigned on June 14.
Deputies were sent to Pates Ford Marina to investigate the call of a drunk person. They found Carter with a strong odor of alcohol, unsteady on his feet, and with slurred speech.
It was decided he was a danger to himself and others and was arrested.
