Six people have applied for the position of director of schools in DeKalb County.

With the passing of the deadline on Monday, two local people applied for the job, as well as others from as far away as Arizona. The list of hopefuls includes local Special Education Supervisor Gina Arnold and DCHS Principal Patrick Cripps, along with Michael Steele of Spring Hill, a principal with the Metro Nashville school system.

Richard Roundhaug, a faculty member at Argosy University’s Phoenix, Arizona campus, Anthony Pack of Macon, Georgia, currently the superintendent of the Monroe County School System, and Greg Rockhold, assistant principal at Heizer Middle School in Hobbs, New Mexico, round out the list.
