Sarah Marie Smith, the Democratic candidate for the Tennessee House of Representatives in District 40, told the Review Monday that over 100 of her campaign signs were stolen last weekend alone.Reports are still coming in from DeKalb, Smith, Trousdale, and Sumner counties of signs that have been stolen. The total loss could exceed $2,000.“Volunteers in all four counties have spent hours of their time putting up these signs for my campaign. I don’t understand why anyone would do something so destructive,” said Smith.
