• On Saturday, Nov. 4 Crystal Lachelle Thompson, 37 was, arrested for theft.  Thompson was observed by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention putting merchandise into her purse as well as her pants and jacket.  Thompson was stopped as she was exiting the store and confronted about the theft.  Approximately $160 of merchandise was recovered from Thompson and returned to the store.  Bond: $2000 GS: Nov. 30

• On Tuesday, Nov. 7, Robert Jacob Hardison, 27, was cited for drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a weapon.  Police responded to Wal-Mart for a male subject trying to return a toolbox and once the employee looked inside, a glass pipe that had residue was found.  Upon police arrival, the manager pointed to the direction of the male in question who was identified as Robert Hardison.  Hardison informed the officer that he forgot that he put the pipe there and uses it to smoke cocaine.  He also informed the officer that he had a 9mm SAR handgun, which he doesn’t have a valid gun permit, in his waistband which the officer did retrieve.  GS: Nov. 16

• Shannon Gray Gassaway, 29, was cited on Tuesday, Nov. 7, for shoplifting.  Police responded to Dollar General Store for a possible shoplifter.  Upon arrival, the officer was informed that an employee seen Gassaway putting items in a diaper bag with the intent to deprive the store of its property.  The officer did recover the items taken and returned them to the store and cited Gassaway to be in GS: 11/16/17

• On Saturday, Nov. 11, Lee Allen Ferrell, 24, was arrested for criminal trespass.  Ferrell had been informed earlier that he was not welcomed to be on a property located on Walker Drive.  Police received a call informing them that Ferrell was outside the residence.  Upon police arrival, Ferrell had left the property and was walking down the road.  Ferrell was taken into custody for the reasonable likelihood this offense would continue to occur.  Bond: $2500 GS: Dec. 7

• Brandy Nichole Hale, 31, was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 12, for domestic assault.  Hale and the victim were in a verbal argument that turned physical when she pushed the victim and hit him in the face leaving a red mark on the left side of his face.   The victim then shut the garage door, keeping Hale out of the house in an effort to get separation from her at which time her finger got hurt on the door during the process.  Hale was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody without incident.  Bond: $2500 GS: Nov. 30

• On Sunday, Nov. 12, 32-year-old Jason Lee Whitefield was arrested for DUI first and cited for implied consent.  Whitefield was found to be in physical control of his vehicle at 576 W. Broad Street while being unconscious behind the steering wheel with the vehicle running.  He was asked to perform field sobriety tasks to which he performed poorly and refuse a blood/alcohol test at which time a search warrant was obtained and blood was then taken.  Bond: $3500 GS: Nov. 30

• Jason Allen Bates, 41, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 17, for domestic assault.  Police responded to a domestic where Bates and the victim got into a physical fight earlier and the victim’s hand had gotten cut.  Bond: $3000 GS: Nov. 30

• Adam Daniel Taylor, 31, was cited for shoplifting at Tractor Supply Company on Saturday, Nov. 18,.  Taylor took items with the intent to deprive the store of its merchandise.  GS: Nov. 30

• On Monday, Nov. 20, Johnathan Kyle Turner, 30, was arrested on for possession of a handgun by a felon and cited for simple possession, driving on revoked, and no seatbelt.  Turner was pulled over for a seatbelt violation and asked if he had anything illegal in the vehicle and he handed over a clear bagging containing approximately one gram of a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.  Upon further investigation, a semi-automatic handgun was found in the passenger side floorboard.  Upon a computer check with Central Dispatch it was discovered that Turner had a felony conviction on Oct. 22, 2012, for promotion of methamphetamine. Turner was taken into custody without incident.  Bond: $5000 GS: Dec. 14.

• On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Lee Allen Ferrell, 24, was arrested for vandalism.  On Monday, Nov. 20, the victim reported that her vehicle had been vandalized by someone cutting all the tires and keying both sides of her car.  She informed the officer that Ferrell was a suspect due to her having to call the police on Saturday, Nov. 11, for him being on her property and he was arrested for criminal trespass.  Upon investigation, police made contact with Ferrell and found a knife that had white paint residue consistent with the white paint on the victim’s car and black tar residue on it that is consistent with that of a tire.  Bond: $5000 GS: 12/14/17
