Snow Hill bb gun shooting results in assault charge

The sheriff’s department arrested an Old Snow Hill Road man Sunday and charged him with shooting his neighbor in the posterior and arm with a bb gun.
Del Ray Hanna, 51, was charged with aggravated assault.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray said  Hannah shot a victim twice with a bb gun.
Ray said the victim was shot once in the buttocks and once in the right arm, causing bleeding.
His bond was set at $5,000, and he will appear in court on June 27.
Gregory Wayne Roberts, 34, and 42-year-old Chad Everette Knowles were arrested on May 26 after a chase from Highway 70 to Old Mill Hill Road.
Roberts was charged with resisting arrest, felony evading arrest, driving under the influence, and a fourth offense of driving on a suspended license.
He was also cited for violation of the implied consent law and for failure to maintain his lane of travel.
Knowles was charged with driving under the influence by allowance for letting Roberts drive his vehicle.
Ray said that on a deputy tried to pull Roberts over on Highway 70 for failing to maintain his lane of travel.
Roberts allegedly refused to stop, and the officer initiated pursuit.
From Highway 70, Roberts turned onto the Old Snow Hill Road, to New Home Road, and then to Old Mill Hill Road, where he turned into a driveway.
Roberts was taken out of the vehicle at gunpoint, and when he allegedly attempted to put his hands in his pockets, the officer put him on the ground.
While on the ground, Roberts reportedly continued to resist arrest, pushing against the officer.
Ray said it took two officers to cuff him.
Roberts allegedly told the officers that he had been drinking.
No sobriety tasks were given because Roberts had resisted arrest.
He also refused to submit to a blood test.
Roberts was allegedly in possession of an ID only license, and a computer check revealed that his license were suspended.
Roberts’ bond was set at $14,000 and he will appear in court on June 6.
Knowles’ bond is $2,500 and he will appear in court on June 6.
David Wayne Dowell, 37, of McMinnville was charged with theft of property under $500, vandalism, and burglary on May 18.
Dowell allegedly vandalized a lock on a garage and broke into a residence on Echols Heights in Liberty on May 16, taking a weedeater and string, boat oars, a tool box, tools, an orange extension cord, and a yellow five-gallon gas can with a total value of less than $500.
An investigation determined that Dowell had committed the crimes, and he was arrested on May 18.
His bond was set at  $4,500 and he appear in court on June 6.
Joshua Cripps, 28, of was charged with evading arrest and a violation of probation on March 27.
Ray said that deputies went to Cripps' home to serve a warrant on him.
He was reportedly beside a garage when the officers pulled up into the driveway, and ran into the woods when he saw the deputies.
He was chased down and arrested.
Cripps' girlfriend allegedly told authorities that Cripps had known about the warrant.
His bond on the evading arrest charge was set at $2,500, and he has a $250 cash bond on the violation of probation. He will appear in court on June 6.
Rhonda Joy Goff, 28, was charged with five counts of forgery.
Ray said that Goff passed forged checks at Jewel's Market on South Congress Boulevard on five different occasions in early May.
She allegedly passed a $45 check on May 2, another $45 check on May 3, a $30 and a $60 check on May 14, and a $45 check on May 15.
Ray said she admitted to a detective that she committed the forgeries.
Her bond was set at $25,000 and she will appear in court on July 17.
Robert Wayne Davidson, Jr., 18, was charged with theft of property under $500 on May 21.
According to the sheriff, Davidson took a Kenwood CD player out of a vehicle on Love Colony Road.
It was valued under $500.
Davidson allegedly admitted to taking the CD player.
His bond was set at $1,500, and he will appear in court June 6.
Ivan Perez Guzman, 23, ws charged with public intoxication on May 24.
Ray said that  Guzman was found walking in the middle of Highway Short Mountain Highway, holding a beer.
Guzman was allegedly so intoxicated he did not know his name or where he lived.
Ray said Guzman had dialed 911 and told them he was lost and needed help.
His bond was set at $1,500 and he will appear in court June 6.
Tabitha Gay Tidwell, 39, was charged with driving under the influence, cited for violation of the implied consent law for refusing to submit to a blood test and for simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Oxycontin) on May 25.
The sheriff said a deputy responding to a 911 call about a vehicle sitting in the roadway on Woodbury Highway found Tidwell to be the driver.
She was allegedly found passed out behind the wheel with the engine running, and the deputy had trouble waking her up.
After coming around, Tidwell reportedly told the officer that she had taken Oxycontin earlier in the day and that she still had some of the drugs in her purse.
A silver pill container was found, with one-and-a-half Oxycontin pills inside.
She submitted to, but performed poorly on, all field sobriety tasks and refused to submit to a blood test.
Her bond was set at $1,500 and she will appear in court on June 6.
Jakob Michael Torsten, 48, was arrested  for domestic assault on Saturday, May 25.
Torsten allegedly assaulted his girlfriend on Highland Avenue on May 24 by striking her in the back and pushing her down.
The woman claimed she suffered a cigarette burn on her right arm.
The woman said the reason she did not call for help until the day after the assault was because Torsten was intoxicated.
His bond was set at $2,500 and he will appear in court on June 6.
Larry Eugene Rhoady, 54, of was charged with driving under the influence and issued citations for failure to maintain lane of travel and for violation of the financial responsibility law (no insurance) on May 25.
The sheriff said that Rhoady was operating a vehicle on Highway 70 when he was stopped by a deputy for failing to maintain his lane of travel.
Rhoady allegedly had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person, was unsteady on his feet, and performed poorly on all field sobriety tasks.
He submitted to a blood test.
Rhoady allegedly admitted to the arresting officer that he had been drinking beer.
His bond was set at $1,500 and he will appear in court on June 6.
