Kevin Jay Stewart, 28, of Sparta was charged with theft of property over $1,000, possession of methamphetamine, and a fourth offense of driving while revoked, as well as being cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession on March 9. According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, a deputy was dispatched to Ragland Bottom Motel to check out a car parked behind a building. The officer found the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who proved to be Stewart.
