A local man faces aggravated assault charges after he allegedly stabbed another man at a Big Woods Road home on May 18.Julio Cesar Bernardo, 26, was charged with aggravated assault and criminal impersonation after he reportedly stabbed another man several times with a kitchen knife. The victim was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, where he was treated and released.The suspect apparently left the scene after the stabbing, and was charged with criminal impersonation when he gave a deputy a false name when he was arrested the next day.According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, his department received a call that a stabbing had occurred in the Blue Springs community. Deputies and detectives were dispatched to the scene, and it was determined that Bernardo had stabbed a man.
