Stewart, Dakas, Colwell claim titles at weekend pageants

Five young gents competed in the 2013 Little Mister competition Saturday evening held at the DeKalb County High School. Reigning king six-year-old Carter Matthew-Mikel Benson passed on his crown to four-year-old Jacob Marlin Stewart. Benson is the son of Chris and Karey Benson. Stewart is the son of D.J. and Megan Stewart of Smithville.
Completing King Stewart’s court were first runner-up Bradley Jae Pelham, the six-year-old son of Jason and Karen Pelham of Smithville.  Six-year-old Conner Preston McClure, son of Jimmy and Amanda McClure of Smithville, was named second runner-up. Third runner-up went to Skyler Chase Sullivan. He is the five-year-old son of Charity Sullivan and the late Jamie Sullivan. Skyler also was named Mister Personality. Six-year-old Andrew Jackson Dakas was chosen as fourth runner-up. He is the son of John and Mandy Dakas of Smithville. He was also awarded Mister Photogenic.
In the second pageant of the evening, six-year-old Annabella Eleni Dakas of Smithville was crowned the 2013 Little Miss. She is the daughter of John and Mandy Dakas and succeeds the retiring Little Miss Isabella Faith Rackley. Rackley is the five-year-old daughter of Gordon and Jessica Rackley of Smithville. Dakas was also chosen Miss Photogenic.
Laina Renee Winfree, the six-year-old daughter of Mark and Stacy Winfree of Smithville, was chosen as first runner-up. Kaylee Brooke Kent, the four-year-old daughter of Kevin and Beth Kent of Dowelltown, was named second runner-up. Third runner-up went to Ansley Faith Cantrell. She is the six-year-old daughter of Tony and Amee Cantrell of Smithville. Completing the court was fourth runner-up Macy Lynn Anderson. She is the six-year-old daughter of Bobby Joe and Tabatha Anderson of Smithville. Rounding out the top-10 were Adison Jade Summers, Brianna Nicole Carr, Addison Grace Miller, Kora Lin Kilgore and Madison Dawson.
Miss Personality went to Addison Grace Miller. She is the six-year-old daughter of Josh and Amy Miller of Smithville.
The pageant featured 18 lovely young ladies.
In the final pageant of the evening, 12 lovely young ladies competed for the crown and title of Junior Miss with Sarah Anne Colwell walking away  with the honors. She is the 12-year-old daughter of Trent and Christie Colwell of Smithville. She succeeds retiring Junior Miss Liz Abigail Qualls, the 15-year-old daughter of Kim and Brad Trapp and Jason and Stormy Qualls.
Forming her court was Morgan Faith Green, first runner-up. She is the 13-year-old daughter of Suzanne and Jon Harrison. Green was also named Miss Congeniality.
Second runner-up went to Addison Grace Oakley of Liberty. She is the 12-year-old daughter of Clark and Lisa Oakley. Addison also received the title of Most Photogenic.
Destiny Danielle Franklin was chosen third runner-up. She is the 13-year-old daughter of Jennifer and Charlie Ware of Smithville.
Fourth runner-up went to Mary Elizabeth Murray. She is the 14-year-old daughter of Angel Brown and Dwight Murray of Smithville.
