The Beecher Taylor residence on The Loop Circle suffered heavy damage from a fire Saturday.
The DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene at around 12:30 p.m.
A family member reportedly heard a loud pop in the rear of the residence, and then discovered that the utility room of the home was on fire.
After unsuccessful attempts to put the fire out, the family called 911.
The home was extensively damaged by the blaze.
The utility room, hallway, a back bedroom and the roof of the structure were damaged, and the entire home suffered heat, smoke, and water damage.
No one was injured in the incident, and the cause of the fire is still undetermined.
