Tenneco Automotive in Smithville is currently hiring at least 20 people, and hopes to increase the number of employees at the Smithville facility even more in the future if things continue to improve, Mike Alzamora, Senior Manager of Global Communications for Tenneco, told the Review Friday.“The plant is currently hiring,” Alzamora said. “There are about 20 positions that are open right now. Moving forward, there is potential for more things to happen later this year and into the future, nothing is definite, and but we are cautiously optimistic that things are turning our way in the next several months.
