Three airlifted after crash

A collision on Highway 56 South resulted in three people being airlifted Monday. According to Trooper Gerald Carter of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Todd Van Dyne, 48, was traveling south in a 1987 Dodge pickup truck when he struck a southbound 2011 Nissan Rogue, driven by 50 year old Mark Cardwell of Nebraska in the rear. Cardwell's mother, Lady Belle Cardwell of Crossville was a passenger in the Nissan.
