The death of 20-month-old Mason Snyder (shown) is under investigation.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the District Attorney General's Office are reportedly investigating the death of an infant in DeKalb County

The DeKalb EMS and law enforcement were dispatched to a call concerning a stranded motorist on Highway 70 Saturday evening, where they found an unresponsive child in the vehicle. The child, 20-month-old Mason Snyder, was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While an autopsy has reportedly been ordered to determine the cause of the toddler’s death, no arrests have been made in the incident. Les Miller, 27, the mother’s boyfriend, was discovered during the investigation to be a fugitive from Michigan. He was taken into custody on Sunday, and is being held under a $500,000 bond.
