Two 18-year-old men have been arrested and accused of burglarizing homes in Liberty.

Joshua James Boland and Bobby Christopher Maynard were arrested by the sheriff’s department on Aug 11 on two charges of aggravated burglary and two charges of theft of property over $1,000 each.

According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, the duo entered a home on West Main Street in Liberty on Aug. 2, taking items including several pieces of jewelry, an IPod Touch, a Kindle Fire tablet, a Verizon pre-paid phone, an Easton baseball bag, $750 in cash, and $300 in change.

Then, on Aug. 7, they entered another home on west Main in Liberty, taking items including a Winchester .45 caliber revolver, a .25 caliber handgun, and $350 in change.

Bond was set at $30,000 each, and both will appear in court on Aug 18.

David Dwayne Anderson, 46, of Liberty was charged with theft of property over $1,000 and vandalism on Aug 2.

The sheriff said Anderson took an 18-foot dovetail trailer without the owner’s consent. He also destroyed a lock on the trailer. The case was investigated by a sheriff’s department detective.

His bond was set at $9,000, and he will appear in court on Aug. 18.

Steven Darrell Bly, 32, was arrested on Aug 11 for resisting stop frisk halt arrest or search.

Ray said two deputies went to a Banks Pisgah Road home to serve a warrant on Bly. Upon making contact with the man, he allegedly attempted to pull away from officers, and would not give the deputies his hands while they were trying to place him in custody.

His bond was set at $5,000, and he will appear in court on Aug. 25. Bly is also charged with failure to appear in criminal court, and is being held without bond on that charge.

Billy Cooper Pruitt, 46, was arrested on Aug. 9 and accused of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in damage to another vehicle.

Pruitt’s pickup allegedly sideswiped another vehicle on Dale Ridge Road, and Pruitt failed to immediately stop at the scene of the accident. The other party involved reportedly took his tag number, and he was later arrested.

His bond was set at $1,500, and he will appear in court on Aug. 11
