Two men escaped without serious injury when the vehicle they were traveling in struck a ditch and overturned on Allen’s Ferry Road last week.
According to the THP, the Trailblazer the men occupied left the roadway on the right side and struck a culvert during the Thursday accident, causing the vehicle to land on its top in the middle of the road.
Trooper Dewaine Jennings told the Smithville Review that 40-year-old Armando Blanco of Smithville was driving west in a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with 37-year-old Alfred Villa.
Blanco reportedly traveled down the ditchline until he struck the exposed pipe, which threw the vehicle onto its top in the highway.
The trooper said that Blanco was not  hurt in the wreck, and Villa was taken by DeKalb EMS to DeKalb Community Hospital with minor injuries.
