Two injured in Friday crash on Cookeville Highway

The vehicle ramped over a culvert and slammed back down into someone's front yard before coming to rest.

Two people were transported to St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital around noontime Friday after a vehicle left Cookeville Highway, jumped a culvert and crashed into a front yard. The three occupants of the vehicle escaped serious injury. The wreck is under investigation by the highway patrol.
