Undercover investigation nets 40 sealed indictments

An undercover drug operation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department has netted more than 40 sealed indictments.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said officers with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department appeared before a special session of the DeKalb County Grand Jury on May 30 and received more than 40 sealed indictments against mostly drug offenders. They presented cases against each offender as the result of the undercover investigation. Thirty defendants have been arrested with more forthcoming.

Joshua Lynn Batey, 29, of Short Mtn Hwy was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of schedule IV drug Xanax. His bond was set at $5,000.

Myrna Michelle Byars, 46, of Dearman St was arrested May 31 and charged with eight courts of forgery and one count of theft under $1,000. Her bond was set at $2,500.

Kristin Taylor Conley, 21, of Cantrell Road, Sparta was arrested June 1 and charged with three counts of statutory rape. His bond was set at $2,500.

Jason Bradley Cripps, 42, of Old Snow Hill Rd., Dowelltown was arrested May 31 and charged with theft under $1,000, an attempted of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug, Oxycodone. His bond was set at $25,000.

Charles Dakota Lee Derrick, 21, of Toad Road, Dowelltown was arrested June 1 and charged with two counts of sell and delivery of a schedule IVI drug marijuana. His bond was set at $2,500.

Christopher Keith Lane Derrick, 21, of Toad Road, Dowelltown was arrested June 1 and charged with two counts of a schedule IV drug Xanax. His bond was set at $5,000.

Darian Cheyanne Ferrell, 21, of Guard Lane, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone. Her bond was set at $25,000.

Desiree Nicole Ferrell, 41, of Pine Orchard Rd., Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydrocodone in a drug-free zone and sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Jim Thomas Flesher, 21, of Village Place, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Morphine. His bond was set at $25,000.

Thomas Walker Fox, 27, of Walker Creek Road, Alexander was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule VI drug marijuana. His bond was set at $2,500.

Misty Dawn Gingerich, 27, of Village Place, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with one count of forgery. Her bond was set at $2,500.

Rhonda Joy Goff, 32, of Midway Road, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Methamphetamine in a drug-free zone. She was also written a citation for paraphernalia due to officer finding a tote, in her possession, containing needles and spoons at the time of her arrest. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Deborah Ann Grimmitt, 51, of Big Hurricane Road, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydrocodone and TennCare fraud. Her bond was set at $30,000.

Jonathan Wayne Hall, 24, of Gentry Avenue, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule VI drug marijuana and one count of sale and delivery of a schedule VI drug marijuana in a drug-free zone. His bond was set at $5,000.

Jeffery Mark Hatfield, 26, of Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone in a drug-free zone, sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone and sale and delivery of a schedule II drug methamphetamine. His bond was set at $50,000.

Lisa Michelle Huard, 26, of Gentry Avenue, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydrocodone in a drug-free zone. Her bond was set at $25,000.

Phillip Andrew Martin, 30, of Kings Court Trailer Park, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with one count of child abuse. His bond was set at $5,000.

John Thomas Mason, 22, Short Mountain Highway, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydrocodone. His bond was set at $25,000.

Joseph Isreal Neely, 36, of East Spring Street, Cookeville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug methamphetamine over .5 grams. His bond was set at $25,000.

Ashley Nicole O’Conner, 22, of  Doe Lane, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with two counts of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Tyrone Dewayne Owens, 41, of Shady Drive, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone, sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone in a drug-free zone. His bond was set at $50,000.

Christopher Thomas Pack, 24, of Adams Street, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule VI drug marijuana. His bond was set at $2,500.

Rebecca Sue Pelfrey, 38, of Smith Road, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) in a drug-free zone. Her bond was set at $25,000.

Britta Morgan Rollins, 25, of Kings Court Circle, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Oxycodone. Her bond was set at $25,000.

Christopher Alan Scruggs, 42, of Highland Avenue, Smithville was arrested on May 31 and charged with two counts of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydrocodone, and sale and delivery of a scheduled II drug methamphetamine. He was also issued a citation after officers found a glass pipe, in the floor of the room where he stays, upon his arrest. His bond was set at $25,000.

Clint Lee Shehane, 31, of Wade Street, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug methamphetamine. His bond was set at $25,000.

Eulaine Poley Edward Shelton, 72, of Morgan Drive, Smithville was arrested on May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule IV drug Xanax in a drug-free zone and sale and delivery of a schedule II drug Hydrocodone in a drug-free zone. His bond was set at $25,000.

Austin Duane Sigler, 24, of Joines Road, Smithville was arrested June 1 and charged with two counts of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug methamphetamine. His bond was set at $25,000.

Angie Dawn Taylor, 35, of Carter Drive Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with sale and delivery of a schedule III drug Subutex. Her bond was set at $5,000.

 

 Ray Franklin Vincent, 20, of Doe Lane, Smithville was arrested May 31 and charged with three counts sale and delivery of a schedule II drug methamphetamine. His bond was set at $50,000.
