A local man who became one of the state’s most wanted didn’t even have an entire day to enjoy his infamy as he was nabbed the same day the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation put him on the list.

The fugitive, David Paul Vaughn of DeKalb County was arrested at a hotel in Dickson without incident Friday evening.
His arrest came the same day the TBI added him to its Top Ten Most Wanted list.

While hailing from DeKalb County, Vaughn was actually wanted for crimes in Williamson County.

The sheriff’s office there along with the TBI had warrants against him for aggravated burglary and theft over $1000 from a break-in that occurred on Jan. 9.

Along with those charges, Vaughn was considered an interstate fugitive as he allegedly committed crimes in other states. Specifically, Vaughn is considered a suspect of a vehicle theft in Indiana and is also wanted for his allegedly role in a home invasion and an assault on a law enforcement officer from Boone County, Ky.

The busy criminal is also wanted for questioning in connection with an armed robbery in Escambia County, Fla. Topping it all off, Vaughn faces warrants in Wilson County for violation of probation.
