The band Dailey and Vincent was in town Monday, which might not sound too surprising considering Darrin Vincent is a local now, and Jamie Dailey’s hometown of Gainesboro isn’t too far off.
But it was lights, camera and action as the crew stopped by Sundance Fine Food restaurant in the square for more than just lunch.
They were in town filming a music video from their latest album Patriots and Poets which is considered a crossover LP for the group and features artists Steve Martin, Doyle Lawson, Bela Fleck, David Rawlings and more. The song they were here to record was Unsung Heroes and featured a whole host of local military veterans, and Aaron Tippin even walked in the door.
Dailey and Vincent sounds like a two-man band, but the group actually consists of Jamie Dailey, Darrin Vincent, Jeff Parker, Patrick McAvinue, Jesse Baker Aaron McCune and Shaun Richardson.
Unsung Heroes is a salute to the people who risk their lives like policeman or fireman and also people who do important jobs like teachers. They often do not get the credit that they deserve for the jobs that they do nor do the people who do good deeds without receiving any recognition. It’s a song with a great message that we should all remember.
