During the 2017 legislative session, State Representative Mark Pody (R-Lebanon) and his colleagues serving on the House Consumer & Human Resources Committee advanced a total of 10 legislative initiatives; all were signed into law by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. These initiatives reduce instances of job-killing requirements, enhance consumer protections, and also shield citizens from financial exploitation. They include: House Bill 180: Prohibits local governments from enacting job-killing requirements on employee scheduling.
